3rdアルバム「生きる」をリリースし、そのわずか４ヶ月後、20歳というあまりにも短い生涯を終えることとなったボカロP、椎名もた。
あれから気がつけば10年という時が流れ、「もう10年」「まだ10年」のふたつ感覚が揺れ続くなか、わたしたちスタッフは、彼の話題があがるたび、「何歳になったの？」と、まるで親戚のように問い、しかしその問いにはいつも「生きていれば」の前提が付き纏う。そんな10年を過ごしたように思います。
そんななか、「少女A」が世界的にバイラルし、公式配信およびUGCを含む累計再生数は75億回を超える再生数を記録。全ボカロ楽曲のなかで最も聴かれている楽曲になったという事実に、喜びと驚きが入り混じりながら、どこか遠くの出来事を眺めているような、「そうらしい」という気配だけがあるのもまた事実です。
SNSの投稿や動画などで自然に「少女A」を耳にする機会が増えたいまだからこそ、その気配を確かな事実に変えるべく、これまで椎名もたを変わらず応援してくださった皆様にも、新しく椎名もたを知ってくださった皆様にも、もっと深く椎名もたに出会っていただける場所をつくり、静かで確かな拠点をつくれたらと思います。
どうかこの場所が、椎名もたの楽曲たちがこれからも「生きる」場所になりますように。
After releasing his third album "Alive", just four months later, the Vocaloid producer siinamota passed away, bringing an all-too-brief life to an end at the age of 20.
Before we knew it, ten years had gone by. Caught between the two lingering sensations—“already ten years” and “only ten years”—we, the staff, have spent this time repeatedly asking, almost like relatives would, “How old would he be now?” Yet that question has always been inseparable from the unspoken condition: if he were still alive. That, in many ways, is how these ten years have passed.
During this time, “Young Girl A” went globally viral, surpassing 7.5 billion cumulative plays, including official releases and user-generated content. The fact that it has become the most-listened-to song among all Vocaloid works is met with a mixture of joy and astonishment. At the same time, there remains a curious sense of distance—as if we are observing something unfolding far away—leaving us only with the faint awareness that “this seems to be happening.”
Now, as opportunities to naturally encounter “Young Girl A” through social media posts and videos continue to grow, we hope to transform that faint awareness into something tangible. For those who have supported siinamota unwaveringly over the years, and for those who are only now discovering his work, we wish to create a place where everyone can encounter siinamota more deeply—a quiet, steadfast home.

石川県出身1995年3月9日生まれ、うお座AB型。
幼少の頃よりギター、ドラム、エレクトーンなどの楽器を嗜み、中学2年(14歳)からDTMによる楽曲制作を開始。VOCALOIDを使用した楽曲を動画共有サイトに投稿し、代表曲「ストロボラスト」をはじめとしたストロボシリーズにより、瞬く間に人気を博した。
2012年3月、所属音楽レーベル
2013年にリリースした3rdアルバム「アルターワー・セツナポップ」では、ファッションブランド「earth music & ecology JAPAN label」とのコラボレーション企画が実現。アルバムのコンセプトを軸に、椎名もたが監修したファッションアイテムが制作され、ワンピースやアクセサリーなどを身につけた10代・20代前半の女の子の間でさらなる認知を広げた結果、２年連続でコラボレーションを実現させた。
VOCALOIDシーンから生まれ、電子音楽シーンに舞い降りた、類まれなるサウンドメイキングと天性のグルーヴ感、心の隙間にスルッと入り込む、どこか人懐っこい詩世界を合わせ持つクリエイター。
2015年7月、20歳で逝去。
今なお椎名もたの作品は世界中のリスナーから愛されている。
The point of departure and return of siinamota's music continues to reach someone.
siinamota is a Japanese songwriter and Vocaloid Producer.
Born on March 9, 1995 in Ishikawa Prefecture, siinamota started playing instruments such as guitar, drums, and electronic organ at an early age. At the age of 14, he began producing music using DTM. He quickly gained popularity by posting VOCALOID songs on video-sharing sites, especially with the Strobe series, including the hit "Strobe Last". In March 2012, he released his debut album "Yume no Manimani" under the GINGA imprint.
He expanded his activities by appearing on various major media outlets, songwriting for other artists such as Shiho Nanba, writing/producing the theme song for the "Divine Gate x Hatsune Miku" collaboration campaign, and providing remixes for Keiichiro Shibuya and Meg and Patron (ex-Sayonara Ponytail). He also wrote manga for the comic magazine "Comicaroid".
In his third album "Alterour Setsuna Pop", released in 2013, he collaborated with the fashion brand "earth music & ecology JAPAN label" to create fashion items supervised by himself based on the album's concept. As a result, the collaboration lasted for two consecutive years, further expanding his recognition among teenagers and female in the and early twenties – providing much influence in their fashion and beauty in which he created.
As a creator who was born from the VOCALOID scene and descended into the electronic music scene, he possessed a unique sound-making ability and innate groovy feeling, and a somewhat friendly poetic world that could slip into the gaps of people's hearts. He passed away at the age of 20 in July 2015. Even now, siinamota's works are loved by listeners all over the world.
